Carter turns 3!

Well the third year is here. My baby is getting to be to big for me to call him a baby. He is running around on his own, he has his own thoughts that are great to watch come alive. He is his mother's child when it comes to his attitude and sweet heart. And well he looks like his dad all the way. I'm so excited to watch him grow this year. Enjoy doing the activities like camping and riding his bike. He is so sweet and has a great way of showing his love. 

His third year I know will be rough but I'm praying to The Lord it will go by quick! Haha

He had a great Birthday party. It was disappointing to know a lot of people who RSVP'd could not make it. But it didn't stop the party boy! 

'Monster Mutt' is from the Monster Jam™ Collection and Carter loves this truck. So I decided to make a huge Mutt for him! Mimi gave me a great idea to make it a card!

   Hi everyone, I wanted to give you a heads up about some changes I'm going to be making. I've loved Blogger (what you're reading) but it's time to move on. I've found an application through my iPhone and the internet that make it a whole lot easier and faster to post short video clips, photos and tid-bits through my phone, regarding our family and especially Carter K. It's called 23snaps and it's a place to share memories. It's simple profiles and privacy is what kept me intrigued. It's by invitation only. The whole idea is to allow you to see updates (stats for Carter, photos, videos etc..) via email and the site. I'm going to go over a little bit about what steps need to be taken in order to see the cool stuff we're up to (not).

   I will be sending you an invitation and all you have to do is accept and sign up! I know what you're thinking... this won't send you excessive emails or anything you don't want. It's a part of their privacy policy. First you are going to accept the invitation and it will direct you to 23snaps to create an account.

Once you create an account you will be on our family page, ' Betty and her Boys'. If you want create your own family page with your children, please do. It's super easy and like I said the privacy of my family is what was an important part of the decision in creating an account. No one is accepted to see your family page without your consent. The information isn't sold to any other parties. That is why for some of you I wanted to make this clear in how to set up an account. It kind of confused me until I knew why.

Another great feature I love about this site is you can click on your name at the top of the screen (after you've signed up), scroll down to Settings and set up your email preferences under, Email. you can choose to get updates any day of the week as much or less as you want for your convenience. I have mine on "Just as it happens".

   Please let me know if there is any questions you have. I would love for you to be a part of our "family" on 23snaps and keep up on us and what we're doing! This is very easy please don't consider this email an invite to a cult. Some more than others (like me) need more instruction.

So, I haven't had this iPhone for very long but I will admit I use it like I use my thumbs (all the time, if you didn't catch that). I actually swore to myself and others that Carter wouldn't be playing with it but that didn't last long. I share everything with my child. Plus he is very gentle with it because we've made it a must. The point I'm getting to is I'm excited about the new Apple App world and I'm even more excited about the  Apps for Carter. I wanted to share a few of my favorites. 

Well first of all, everyone knows I send a lot of media. I love to keep you up on what's happening on my side of the country. Socialcam has ten million downloads and counting. It's an easy way to capture, share and view videos on your iPhone. With neat video filters, custom tiles and soundtracks it's really cool to edit your video quick and easy. Here's an example of one I just made. It took two minutes and it's adorable (wink wink). Also remember this is just to send via text or share on your social networking sites.

Toca Boca! Carter and I love these games! When I first checked them out, I'll be honest, "weird". But once he opened it up and played Toca Band. I wanted to play, it's all about creating your own music and harmony with different characters who each make their own sounds. So fun. They're $1.99-$2.99 usually. I grabbed the Toca Doctor Lite for free. They're simple and unique (I like different) the characters are fun and colorful. What I like is he can do the same activities over and over and never get sick of them.

You've probably heard the tired cliche about a picture being worth a thousand words. Well in this case it is! WordFoto is an app that turns photos and words into amazing typographic works of art. It has different fonts and styles. Here is one I made for chase and he loves it. they turn out pretty cool, I must say.

Dropbox lets you bring all your photos, documents, and videos anywhere and share them easily. Access any file you save to your Dropbox from all your computers, iPhone, iPad and even the Dropbox website. I've had this since I had my old HTC phone. It works great and it makes saving and transferring photos to my PC as easy as taking them.

Search from hundreds of thousands of online and in-store coupons whether you’re on the go or in the comfort of your home. I use this all the time at home. When I shop online I ALWAYS look on here first to see if they're are any promo codes.

Seeing Santa and his Reindeer

A girlfriend shared a little spot to visit Santa and his reindeer, so we went to check it out. It was at M&T Tree Lot off 9000th south and State Street in Sandy, Utah. Not only did we get to sit with Santa in his sleigh we also were able to pet the reindeer and take in all the colorful trees. Best part, the pine smell.
